UTAH MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART

Past Event Promotion

Take a leap into the imaginative world of children as local artists create eight murals based on children's drawings and paintings. Stroll through this free art exhibit and appreciate modern art that adds color and culture to the west side of Salt Lake City.

The Utah Museum of Contemporary Art partnered with local non-profit organization Neighborhood House to create the free art exhibit "Urban Gallery IV: Drawn Together."  Eight paintings were chosen from Bad Dog Arts, Discovery Gateway and Neighborhood House children's submissions. Local artists then transformed each creative vision into grand-scale masterpieces on the garage doors in the Neighborhood House parking lot.

Neighborhood House is a non-profit organization that provides quality and affordable day care service to families throughout Utah. This exhibit emphasizes the importance of art and its ability to beautify Salt Lake. Neighborhood House strives to create opportunities to bring art to the community that has limited access to quality art programs. This garage-door mural enables people to experience and appreciate art on a daily basis.
